an online community for Atlanta creaitves
As an ongoing, growing project this personal experiment will soon be a full-fledged online community featuring news, discussion forums and case studies for media creatives in the atlanta area. In it's current state, it sponsors discussion forums for both the Atlanta Avid Users group and the Atlanta Media Communications Association International. Keep an eye out!
Technologies Used
php/mysql discussion forum
The discussion forums on this site utilize an implementation of phpBB2, a free, open-source customizatble bulletein-board system. PHP is a server-side language that dynamically updates pages. A MySQL database is called on to speedily keep track of content. Much faster than older CGI based bulletein-board systems.
flash interface
The current interface in development is based entirely in flash for a faster, more interactive experience.
